Osun Recruited Tax Marshals to Enhance IGR

Osogbo—Osun State Government has recruited 300 Tax Marshals to enhance its Internally Generated Revenue IGR on a sustainable basis.
The marshals are expected to be deployed to all the nooks and crannies of the state with Point of Sale Terminals POS, for the collection of taxes from existing and prospective taxpayers especially in the informal sectors category in the state.
Addressing the newly recruited tax marshals at the end of the 3-day capacity building workshop organized by the State Internal Revenue Service OSIRS, the Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer CEO of the agency, Mr. Dayo Oyebanji said that the aim of the government was to ensure that tax collection was made easy by taking its collection process to the doorsteps of the residents of the state.
